The Joint Commission will be conducting an unannounced survey of Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in 2007.

The purpose of the survey will be to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether accreditation should be awarded to the organization.

Joint Commission standards deal with organizational quality and safety-of-care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Anyone who has any quality of care or safety concerns may notify or contact Joint Commission directly.

Further, because all surveys are now unannounced, Public Information Interviews could be scheduled only if someone contacts the surveyor(s) during the on-site survey to request such an interview and may be conducted only if the schedule can accommodate the request.
