Improving Medication Prescribing Practices for New Yorkers with Mental Illnesses
PSYCKES is an award-winning clinical decision support, disease management, and business intelligence system used throughout New York State's mental health inpatient facilities to achieve cost-conscious, guideline-compliant, clinical quality improvement since 2003. An adaptation for Outpatient, using Medicaid data, is being rolled-out in 2008.
As we re-design our website, this page provides links to the main PSYCKES-related projects. Follow those links for greater information about each project.

Developed in 2008 to serve Outpatient clinics
Supporting a joint DOH + OMH quality improvement initiative, this new version uses Medicaid data to deliver monthly quality reports at the state, county, agency, program, and doctor level, and clinical reports to support treatment review.

Developed in 2003 to serve State-run Inpatient population
This system provides real-time access to all inpatient data, including medication, labratory and services data with extensive search capability. Management reports and graphs show trends in quality indicators over time. If you are logged into the OMH internal computer network (intranet) you can login to the PSYCKES for Inpatients (Restricted Access) application. If you are not connected to the OMH intranet then this link will not work for you.
